Ronald "Ron" F. Fox

Ronald “Ron" F. Fox, 95 of Zanesville, died 12:05 AM, Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at Sterling Suites Transitional Care, following a brief illness. He was born Friday, October 15, 1926, in Zanesville, the son of Maxwell O. Fox, Sr. and Carrie M. (Ballinger) Fox. He married Mary Ann (Hempfling) Fox on Thursday, November 20, 1969, and was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Ron served in the United States Navy during WWII and received is training at the United States Naval Training Station, USNTS in Sampson, NY. Ron is survived by three sons: Robert "Bob" A. Fox of Salt Lake City, Ronald "Dru" Fox of Snow Flake, AZ and Kenneth "Ken" (Alice) Fox of Nashport; one granddaughter: Lindsey “Rae” Fox; one brother: Dennis (Diane) Fox of Littleborne, GA and one sister: Julia (Raymond) Senter of Angus Valley, FL; several step-children, step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his wife of over 48 years: Mary Ann Fox; six brothers: Maxwell Fox, Jr., Leslie Fox, Russell Fox, Richard Fox, Walter Fox and infant Kenneth Fox. Friends may call from 10:00 AM till 12 Noon, Monday, January 24,2022, at the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, where funeral services will follow at 12 Noon, with Fr. Jan C.P. Sullivan officiating. Ron will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife, Mary Ann in Mt. Olive Cemetery with the United States Navy conducting full military honors.
