Robert Isaac Kennedy

Robert Isaac Kennedy, age 88 of Zanesville passed at 4:13 PM, Monday, January 9, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born Sunday, December 23, 1928 in Cutler, OH the son of Warren Kennedy and Ella Mae (Norris) Kennedy. He was married on Saturday, April 14, 1956 to Louise (Scott) Kennedy who survives. He was employed at the Newark Air Force base in Heath for 28 years retiring in 1988. He loved to play golf after his retirement and work in his yard. Robert served in the United States Air Force. Mr. Kennedy is survived by his wife, Louise of 60 years; one daughter, Karen Kennedy of Marysville; one son Kevin Kennedy of Zanesville; one sister, Helen (Bob) Carlisle of Zanesville and one brother, James of FL and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Garnet Curtis and Juanita Greene. Friends may call from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM & 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 13, 2017 at the Funeral home with Rev. Jim Workman officiating. Burial will conclude in the Woodlawn Cemetery where VFW Post #1058, American Legion #29 and the US Air Force will conduct full military honors..
