Judith Quinlan

June 18, 1942 - May 5, 2022

Judith Quinlan, 79 of Zanesville, died 11:05 PM, Thursday, May 5, 2022, at Adams Lane Care Center in Zanesville. She was born June 18, 1942, the daughter of James E. McFarland and Marguerite (Carpenter) McFarland. She was married to the late John A. Quinlan on May 2, 1964. Judith was a graduate of Bishop Rosecrans High School, and attended The Ohio State University. She was an avid reader and loved football, especially The Ohio State Buckeyes. In 2002 she graduated from the Westerville Citizens Police Academy and did public motivational speaking for businesses and schools throughout the Columbus area. Judith lived in Columbus for over 30 years moving back to this area in February of 2014. Upon returning to Zanesville, she resumed her studies at the age of 42 at M.A.T.C. and Ohio University, Zanesville. She graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Natural Sciences and Environmental Studies. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by three grandsons, Michael, Joshua and Tyler Quinlan; two step grandchildren, MacKenzie and Mary Cooper; two great grandchildren; two sisters, Jean Roessler and Jill Grandstaff and two brothers, Jeff and Jack McFarland; several cousins, nephews and one niece. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband and her son, Todd Quinlan. Per her wishes no services will be held and a caring cremation will take place.
