Janice "Jan" Grace Hague

March 1, 1935 - February 18, 2022

Janice "Jan" Grace Hague, 86 of East Fultonham, died 3:15 AM, Friday, February 18, 2022, at Cedar Hill Care Center following a lengthy illness. She was born Friday, March 1, 1935, in Port Jervis, NY, the daughter of Kenneth Vincent Moulton and Emma Grace (Phillips) Moulton. She married Robert “Bob” Hague on Saturday, October 22, 1955, and was a faithful and dedicated member of East Fultonham United Methodist Church, where she served as Music Director until 2001, retiring following a devastating stroke. She was a gifted musician and majored in music at Muskingum College, where she was a member of WAWYIN Sorority. She was owner and operator, along with her family, of Jonathan Creek Ceramics and retired from Muskingum County Community Action Agency in June of 2001. Jan was an expert crafter and seamstress and her children and grandchildren will always treasure the things she created and gave them as gifts, on every occasion. Her love of Christmas will always be remembered by the beautiful and elaborate candlelight Christmas Cantatas she directed. Her talent as a pianist will live on in her many piano students. In addition to her husband: Bob Hague, Jan is survived by her children: R. Dale Hague of East Fultonham, Kimberley (Vince) Sigman of Malta, Patricia (Steve) Hockingberry of Kingman, AZ and Deborah (Larry) Raney of Duncan Falls; seven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren, and two sisters: Mary (Bruce) Colbow of Cleveland and Kathryn (Marc) Roberts of Monterrey, MA. In addition to her parents, Jan was preceded in death by one stillborn infant daughter. A Gathering of Family and Friends to Celebrate Jan’s Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The American Stroke Association at Stroke.org.
