Elizabeth Ann Ramsey, 88 of Zanesville, OH died 4:31 PM, Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Genesis Morrison House Hospice in Zanesville, OH. She was born Thursday, October 18, 1928 in Burkhart Station, OH, the daughter of Nicholas Weisend and Marcella (Nauer) Weisend. She was married on to James J. Ramsey who preceded her in death on Sunday, December 8, 1985. She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church. As a child she attended St. Joseph Catholic Church and School in Burkhart Station. She is survived by two sons, James L. Ramsey of Zanesville, Martin (Susan) D. Ramsey, Johnson City, TN; three grandchildren, Cindy (Kyle) Osborn of Johnson City, TN, Chris (Kelly) Ramsey of Valparaiso, IN and Cassi Ramsey, of Knoxville, TN; six great grandchildren; one son-in law, Thad Cohen of Key West, FL; two sisters, Rose (John) Blackburn of Houston, TX and Mary (Ralph) Ritterbeck of Copley, OH. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by one daughter, Sylvia Cohen; three sisters, Emma Sheldon, Mildren Carpenter and Catherine Alvis ; five brothers, Ashton, Robert, Norbert, Charles and James Weisend. In keeping with her wishes a cremation well occur and a memorial service will take place at a later date.
