Charlene J. Watson, 79 of Zanesville, formerly of Columbus, died 9:04 AM, Monday, November 16, 2015 at her daughter’s home surrounded by her loving family following a lengthy illness. She was born Wednesday, August 5, 1936 in Zanesville, the daughter of Charles J. Garich and Doris C. (Dunn) Garich and was Methodist by Faith. Charlene served as Senior Title Clerk with The Columbus Fair Auto Auction for many years and was an avid Ohio State Fan. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. Charlene is survived by two daughters: Stacy (Michael) Fisher and Joni Woerner; one granddaughter: Lindsey Robinson all of Zanesville: three step-grandchildren: Jamie (Chuck) Lingo and Lisa (Jason) Miller both of Pataskala and Dr. Cory (Dena) Fisher of Avon Lake; three great grandchildren: Paris Mayle, Jillian Robinson and Aliya Davis; eight step great grandchildren; sisters: Evelyn Hagedorn of Colorado, Carolyn (Joe) King of Somerset, Sandra Porter of Zanesville, Catherine (Jim) Dodson of Illinois, Christie (Tom) Smith of Zanesville and Judith Patalon of Lodi; and over 100 nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Charlene was preceded in death by her companion: John Sorrick; her first husband: Frederick D. Woerner; her second husband: Raymond E. Watson; two brothers: Gordon Garich and Joseph Garich; one sister: Betty Hubbard and her mother-in-law: Martha Watson Friends may call Thursday, November 19, 2015 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at The Hillis Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville where Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, November 20, at 11:00 AM with Christopher Garich officiating. Burial will follow in Poplar Forks Cemetery, Gratiot.
