Brian L. Edwards

October 24, 1959 - April 9, 2022

My most beloved husband, Brian Lee Edwards, has gone to be at the Lord’s side this day, April 9, 2022. Brian’s loss will be heartfelt by a multitude of family, friends and acquaintances. Brian will always be remembered for his smile, ability to befriend anyone by using his gift of gab, and his generosity of helping others by volunteering at Eastside Community Ministries and the Board of Elections. Brian met Mitchell in 1995, married in 1998, and officially in 2015. Being complete opposites, they suited-up naturally, enjoying the outdoors, traveling, watching TV, and spending time with friends while residing at their Blue Rock homestead. He loved working in the yard and avoiding the cat, Peter “Snotty” McGoulihan. Most of all, Brian always focused on his love for his family, especially his mother, brother and sister. Brian was a member of Union Baptist Church and graduated from Zanesville High School in 1976, with 2 years at OSU. He worked in retail and service at Elder-Beerman, Certified, AAA, Sprint, and Englefield Oil. Brian is greatly missed by his husband of 27 years, Mitchell Asher, mother, Patricia Edwards, brother, Arthur ”Art” Edwards, sister, Nancy Edwards Grady and many cousins, uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews. Special thanks to his niece, Tisha Edwards and Buddies, Kim, Cheryl and Jenny. Brian was preceded in death by his father, William Oscar Edwards and brother, William Allen Edwards. In keeping with Brian’s wishes, a cremation will take place with a memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in Brian’s honor to the Union Baptist Church.
