Bernard "Bernie" E. Wolfe, 66 of Hopewell, died 2:20 PM, Friday, May 13, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family under the care of Shrivers Hospice. He was born Monday, May 17, 1956, in Zanesville, the son of Elmer E. Wolfe and Gloria J. (Harter) Wolfe, and married Tonya A. (Lucas) Wolfe on Saturday, July 5, 2003. Bernie was over the road truck drive and was owner and operator of his own truck for many years. He also drove for Brown Distributors and Quick Way Transportation. He made friends very easily, and had a great sense of humor. He was known as the family jokester. He is survived by his wife: Tonya Wolfe; two step-children: Mitchell (Bree) Bowen and Heath (Erica) Giblin; four step-grandchildren: John Bowen, Trinity Bowen, Addison Bowen and Kellen Giblin; four brothers & sisters: Marlene (Terry) Powers, Lee “Toby” Wolfe, Barb (Walter) Baries and Ron (Barb) Wolfe; one aunt: Connie Starkey; one sister-in-law: Trish Wolfe; several nieces, nephews, many cousins and a host of friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Robert “Bob” Wolfe and David Wolfe and one sister-in-law: Carol Wolfe. A Memorial Service will be held 3:00 PM, Saturday, May 21, 2022, at the home of his sister: Marlene Powers, 16510 Brushy Fork Road, Newark, Ohio, with Rev. Charles Norris officiating.
