Barbara Ann Macaulay, 85, a lifelong resident of Dayton, died May 7, 2017. The daughter of Robert Ferguson and Norma Catherine Macaulay, she was born May 31, 1931. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Halberstadt and Norma Olds; brother, Thomas Macaulay; and two nieces and two nephews including Nancy & Dr. Thomas J. Forrestal, Jr. and Paul & Brenda Halberstadt both of Zanesville. She is survived by two nieces and seven nephews. Barbara graduated from Purdue University with a degree in English Education, and a Masters of Psychology from The University of Dayton. She taught English at Jefferson High School in Dayton, and Beavercreek High School in Beavercreek. She was a parishioner of Holy Angels Church and in later years, St. Albert The Great Catholic Church. Barbara enjoyed traveling, theater, opera, reading and volunteering at the Corner Cupboard. She enjoyed cooking and was a foodie. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 3, 2017, at St. Albert The Great Catholic Church, 104 West Dorothy Lane, Kettering Ohio, 45429. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Corner Cupboard Thrift Store, 504 Xenia Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45410.
